In the interview, Harry talked about fame, music, and even some more sensitive topics — specifically, the queerbaiting allegations that have surfaced online over the last several years, calling it “silly.”
Harry also talked about starring in the upcoming film, My Policeman, where he plays a museum curator who falls for a police officer in the 1950s — a time when being gay was criminalized.
When asked about it, Harry said, “It’s obviously pretty unfathomable now to think, ‘Oh, you couldn’t be gay. That was illegal. I think everyone, including myself, has your own journey with figuring out sexuality and getting more comfortable with it.”
“It’s not like, ‘This is a gay story about these guys being gay.’ It’s about love and about wasted time to me. So yeah, from all of this — we have a new meme. Harry has not commented on the backlash, but we will update you if he does.
