Vivian Castano, D-Y

Castano finished with 30 assists for the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins as they swept the Sandwich Blue Knights 25-16, 25-15, 25-17 to remain unbeaten in girls volleyball action on Thursday. Ava Pecorella had 6 kills, Ellen Swanson tallied on 3 aces and 4 digs, Tessa Hinds added 3 kills and Alayna Rooney ended with 4 aces, 2 kills and 10 digs for D-Y (8-0).

Laura Cogswell, Barnstable 

Cogswell finished with 18 assists for the Red Hawks, but it was not enough as the Westborough Rangers won 3-0, 25-21, 25-21, 25-12. Allison Nystrom, Lindsay Jones and Neely Alger each had 6 kills for Barnstable (5-4).

Camille Leite, Falmouth 

Leite finished with 4 aces, 3 kills and 12 assists for the Clippers as they swept the Nauset Warriors 25-16, 25-21, 25-19. Anna Fernandez finished with 6 kills, an ace and an assist, Maci Griesbauer had 6 kills, 2 blocks and 3 aces, Sydney Sevingy ended with 5 kills, 2 blocks and 2 assists, Meghan Robbins tallied on 6 kills, a block and 3 aces, Haylee Silvia added 6 assists and 5 aces and Emily Frias dished out 2 assists and had a kill for Falmouth (6-4).

BOYS SOCCER 

Ryan Larame, Monomoy 

Larame scored 2 goals for his 6th and 7th goals of the season for the Sharks as they beat the Saint John Paul II Lions 5-2 at Sandwich Water District Field.

Niko Vujosevic scored his first goal of the season 6 minutes in, Troy Olson tallied on a goal in the 17th minute and Joao Paixo added a goal in the 22nd minute for Monomoy (3-0-3).

David Lemus-Castro, Nantucket 

Lemus-Castro scored 2 goals for the Whalers as they shutout the Sandwich Blue Knights 3-0. Alejandro Chacon scored a goal, Treyce Brannigan dished out 2 assists, Yeison Gregorio Castro added an assist, Justin Ho-Shue had 4 saves in goal and Max Beebe, Silas Moore and Dylan Ottani all played well on the back line for Nantucket (4-2-0).

Jace Clady, Cape Tech

Clady missed a penalty kick for the Crusaders as they were swept by the South Shore Voke Vikings 2-0. Tafari Burke, Aidan Smith, Brecken Veara and Lucas Gurski played well for Cape Tech (2-2-2).

Chris Gordon, Cape Cod Academy 

Gordon scored off a penalty kick for the Seahawks, but the Rising Tide Herons came away with the 7-1 win. Connor Hall, Greason Takach, Kaiden Holt and Alex Kowaleski all played well for Cape Cod Academy (0-6-0).

Lucas Reis, Falmouth 

Reis was one of three Clippers that scored a goal as they beat the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins 3-1. Lucas Reis scored off a penalty kick in the 1st minute, J.P. Hirth scored a goal in the 13th minute and Caleb Sousa scored in the 27th minute for Falmouth (3-2-1). Caleb Highins scored the lone goal in the 3rd minute for D-Y (1-3-1).

Arlo Lawless, Nauset 

Lawless scored 2 goals for the Warriors in a 5-0 shutout win over the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans to remain unbeaten. Pat Pinto, Nate Watring and Dejorno Davis each scored a goal and Chase Lemieux had 3 saves in the shutout for Nauset (7-0-1). 

Alessandro Ghirardhi, Sturgis West

Ghiradhi scored 2 goals for the Navigators as they beat the Falmouth Academy Mariners 4-2 at Old Town House Fields. Gregory Codjoe scored on a penalty kick in the first half and Nate Yarnell scored the final goal for Sturgis West (3-4-0).

Roberto Marzot, Falmouth Academy 

Marzot scored a goal and Howard Keeler scored, assisted by Will McCabe for Falmouth Academy (2-1-3).

GIRLS SOCCER 

Emma Correira, Bourne 

Correira scored 2 goals and 2 dished out 2 assists for the Canalmen in a 6-0 win over the Wareham Vikings. Taylor Wing finished with 2 goals and an assist, Sydney Fitzpatrick and Brooke Lunedei each had a goal and an assist, McKinley Wenzel had an assist and played well in midfield, Grace Gobeil had a good game at center back and goalie Emma Bourgault had 2 saves and the shutout for Bourne (3-4-0).

Kara Oldham, JPII

Oldham scored the game winning goal for the Lions as they beat the Monomoy Sharks 2-1. Ella Cheney scored the first goal of the game off of an Alex Palmer free kick, Natalia Traykovski played well and Kendal O’Brien played well in net despite leg injury for JPII (8-2-0).

Karah Deveau, Monomoy 

Deveau scored off a Kate Gabri free kick and Hanna Slater played well on defense for Monomoy (5-2-0).

Taytum Cox, Falmouth 

Cox scored the lone goal of the game for the Clippers as they shutout the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins 1-0 to remain unbeaten. Ella Sieger assisted on Cox’s goal and played well in net as she intercepted several crosses for Falmouth (4-0-1).

Livi Varetimos, Barnstable

Varetimos scored 2 goals and dished out an assist for the Red Hawks as they beat Martha’s Vineyard 3-1. Abby Ewald scored in the 23rd minute, assisted by Varetimos, Lucie Ells had a header assist for Varetimos’ second goal and Dakota Hesse and Lexi Varetimos played well defensively for Barnstable (2-1-3).

Josie Welch, Martha’s Vineyard 

Welch scored the lone goal and Paige Malowski played well for Martha’s Vineyard (2-5-0).

Raquel Collins, Sturgis West

Collins scored 2 goals for the Navigators as they beat the Falmouth Academy Mariners 3-0. Kate Donahue scored a goal and dished out an assist, Alexa Bound and Olivia Lasnicki each had an assist and Sofia Gay had the shutout in goal for Sturgis West (5-4-1).

Grace Cohen, Sandwich 

Cohen scored 2 goals for the Blue Knights as they shutout the Nantucket Whalers 4-0. Megan Jakurbicka and Aubrey Schwager each scored a goal, Abi Kinney was in goal for the clean sheet, Julia Sutton played well on defense and Kailyn Jaroszuk had a good game at midfield for Sandwich (3-3-1).

Sophia Easley, Nauset

Easley scored the lone goal for the Warriors but they lost to the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans 2-1 for their first loss of the season. Sam Schiffenhaus assisted Easley’s goal for Nauset (7-1-0).

BOYS GOLF

Jack Martin, Nauset

Jack Martin shot a 33 for the Warriors as they beat Martha’s Vineyard 251-260 at Captains Golf Course. Cooper Guiliano shot a 41, Nemo Grawley and Pete Murphy each had a 42, Sam Weiner finished with a 46 and Seamus St. Aubin ended with a 47 for Nauset (9-3).

Jake Glasgow, Martha’s Vineyard 

Glasgow led with a 41, Richie Combra followed up with a 42, Jacob Silvia and Cam Napior each shot a 43, Luke Silvia ended with a 45 and Nick Ben David finished with a 46 for Martha’s Vineyard (6-2). 

Jack Carstensen, JPII

Carstensen shot a 4-over par 31 for the Lions in a 6-0 win over the Herons at Village Links. JPII is 6-7.

Emma Abramson, Sandwich 

Abramson was the medalist as he shot a 38 and scored 32 points for the Blue Knights in a 127-84 win over the Dennis-Yarmouth Dolphins at Sandwich Hollows.Thomas Hurley scored 25 points, Dylan McCabe had 20, Zarren Graff added 19, Luke Greeley finished with 16 and Nathen DeBlank ended with 15 for Sandwich (11-2).

Dan Julian, D-Y

Julian led with 25 points, Alex Ferreira had 21, Cam Dupee tallied on 18, John Stone finished with 15, Brody Boulette ended with 5 and Adam Ruder went scoreless for D-Y (0-6).

Connor McEntee, Upper Cape

McEntee shot a 39 for the Rams as they beat the Diman Bengals 8-1 at Swansea Country Club. Asher Graff shot a 42, Pat Ghelfi followed up with a 43, Matt Nawoichick had a 47, Billy Dunn finished with a 50 and Zephyn Johnson ended with a 52 for Upper Cape (9-1).

Brynn Dilley, Sturgis East

Dilley won 4 and 2 for the Storm as they beat the Nantucket Whalers 4-3 at Hyannis Golf Club. Jake Dilley and Jameson each won 1-up and Kat Cole won 2 and 1 for Sturgis East (3-7). 

Aidan Sullivan, Nantucket 

Sullivan won 4 and 3, Cosmo Tedeschi won 2 and 1 and Cole Evens won 1-up for Nantucket (3-6). 

FIELD HOCKEY 

Ayesha Shafi, Mashpee

Shafi had 12 saves for the Falcons, but the Norwell Clippers won 7-0. Mashpee is 0-7.
