College of the Desert Student Film Showcase
The College of the Desert’s film program is back with its first film showcase in person since the COVID-19 pandemic. The showcase will feature work from students who have been part of the first five years of the program, with many of the films shot by students at home during the pandemic without the use of professional equipment.

The Power of Story: How Local Media Put Gay Palm Springs on the Map
The LGBTQ+ History & Archives of the Desert celebrate National Pride Month with a presentation on LGBTQ+ history in Palm Springs. Guest speakers include Bruce Fessier, retired entertainment reporter for The Desert Sun; Nino Eilets, former business manager of The Bottom Line and editor of The Standard Magazine; and Denise Goolsby, former journalist for The Desert Sun and current manager for the Office of Neighborhoods for the City of Palm Springs. The discussion will be moderated by Brad Fuhr, KGAY Palm Springs and The Gay Desert Guide.

‘Cine Mexicano’ Summer Film Series
The Annenberg Theater at Palm Springs Art Museum presents “Cine Mexicano,” a monthly film series celebrating Mexican cinema with influential films that express the country’s art and culture. The films are in Spanish with English subtitles. This month’s film is “The Exterminating Angel/El ángel exterminador,” which follows a group of wealthy guests who find themselves unable to leave after a lavish dinner party

Sharing Our Desert’s LGBTQ+ History Exhibit
Celebrate the end of Pride month by taking a trip back in time. The LGBTQ+ History & Archives of the Desert present this exhibition on the local LGBTQ+ community and its contributions to the desert throughout the past several decades.

Palm Springs Power Baseball
Celebrate the summer season with a Coachella Valley summer tradition: baseball. The Palm Springs Power baseball team will play its 18th season this summer.

MasterPiece MashUp Opening Night Reception
Street urban artist Tysen Knight presents his latest artwork in the “MasterPiece MashUp” exhibition. The opening night reception will include hors d’oeuvres and a screening of Knight’s first documentary, “The Art Of Hustle: Street Art Documentary.”

The Rock Yard
Listen to various tribute bands at The Rock Yard outdoor concert stage each weekend. This weekend features System of a Down tribute band Toxicity on Friday and Rage Against the Machine tribute band Renegades Of Rage on Saturday. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Ages 18-plus.

Summer Sing-A-Long: ‘Mamma Mia’
The Summer Sing-A-Long series is back with returning and new musicals every week. Start off the night with a happy hour upstairs in the VIP lounge with drink specials, Mildred’s happy hour menu and episodes of “Schmigadoon!” and “Glee.” The song leaders from the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus will join the sing-a-long film. This week will be “Mamma Mia.”

Palm Springs Rewinds: ‘Reservoir Dogs’
Palm Springs Rewinds is a summer-long weekly program featuring film screenings from the following acclaimed directors: Quentin Tarantino in July and Wes Anderson in August. This week, Palm Springs Cultural Center will screen “Reservoir Dogs.”

‘Crimes of the Heart’
This play follows three sisters awaiting news of their grandfather, who is living his last hours in the local hospital. The sisters have their own dilemmas in their lives, wanting to escape the past.
